Word is that it is an elongated cushion cut engagement ring. Diamond industry expert Michael Fried said that there are two gemstones in the ring, apart from the cushion-shaped diamond. According to Fried, it is among the most one-of-a-kind celebrity engagement rings of this year so far.
As The Diamond Pro’s Chief Executive Officer, Fried said that it is a statement piece with what seems like an emerald-like centerpiece diamond with trapezoidal diamonds on each side. As per Fried’s estimate, the center diamond weighs 4 carats, and alongside the bigger side stones, the ring is worth $125,000 to $150,000. That said, it is also worth noting that an engagement ring’s retail value can vary according to the other diamond characteristics.
Some other diamond industry experts also agree with Fried’s opinion that it could have a six-figure value. They also feel that the precious metal band of the ring is platinum. However, just because the color of the ring band is white, does not mean that it is made of platinum. It is also likely to be a white gold ring.
Those other experts also describe the ring’s side stones as tapered baguettes, unlike Fried. That may not mean that Fried and the others feel that the stones have different shapes. Tapered baguettes have a more trapezoid diamond-like shape. Anyhow, their estimate of the central stone’s weight is slightly less than that of Fried, so the same goes for the product’s price.
The term ‘three-stone’ or ‘trinity’ refers to a classic diamond engagement ring style, popular among several celebrities from Hollywood and other industries. The wearers believe that the gemstone at the center of their ring represents the present of their relationship, plus the ones that flank it the past and future.
